Advancing natural, human-like voice AI through open research collaboration.
F0 Labs is an applied research initiative advancing conversational AI and voice intelligence. We explore how machine speech can become more natural, expressive, and context-aware — through improvements in speech synthesis, large language models, and real-time conversational systems.
The Early Research Contributor Program (ERCP) brings together researchers and engineers to work on open problems at the intersection of speech, language, and real-time AI.
ERCP is a research collaboration environment — not a traditional internship or employment program. We exist to enable hands-on experimentation beyond academic settings, encourage open idea exchange, and build open-source contributions that benefit the broader AI community.
Participation is voluntary. Contributors maintain full flexibility alongside their academic or professional commitments.
Prosody modeling and natural speech synthesis
End-to-end ASR → LLM → TTS pipeline design
Naturalness benchmarking and perceptual metrics
Low-latency conversational system architecture
Work is research-oriented and self-directed. Contributors are encouraged to explore adjacent problems and propose new directions.
To ensure meaningful collaboration and fair attribution, we maintain two reference benchmarks for participation:
These are collaboration guidelines, not employment requirements.
Active contributors may receive:
Recognition is based on measurable research contribution and collaboration quality.
ERCP is a non-compensated research collaboration program focused on learning, experimentation, and open-source contribution. Participation does not constitute employment or imply future compensation. Paid opportunities may arise as F0 Labs grows, but are not guaranteed.
Participants are responsible for ensuring their involvement complies with applicable university policies, visa regulations, and any CPT, OPT, or other authorization requirements. F0 Labs does not provide immigration or employment authorization guidance. Consult your university or immigration advisor if needed.
We're looking for researchers and engineers who want to push the boundaries of conversational AI.
